Vicky Tufail

I wanted to become a Governor as I am deeply passionate about improving the education system, particularly in the realm of special educational needs. I believe that all children deserve access to a high-quality education that caters to their unique learning requirements and provides the necessary support for both students and their families. With a strong interest in this critical area, I am driven to become more involved and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by parents, schools, and the education system as a whole. It is my conviction that the future generation deserves nothing less than a wonderful educational experience that will empower them to reach their full potential and expand their horizons.

For 13 years, I served as a frontline paramedic with the West Midlands Ambulance Service. Later in my career, I transitioned into management and training roles.

Since departing the ambulance service, I have established my own training company providing emergency first aid training to GP surgeries and dental practices. Additionally, I work closely with asylum seekers, supporting them through the medical screening process. My professional experience has equipped me with the skills to effectively manage, teach, and assist others.

My link is SEND, my daughter has special educational needs and I am dedicated to ensuring children with additional needs get the support they need. We live in a world where times are hard, we are more aware now than ever about mental health, additional needs and the support children need just to navigate their way through life. I am passionate about the next generation receiving a wonderful education and want to support parents going through a difficult time and give support where needed.

My beautiful girls consume the majority of my time, but I cherish every moment. There's nothing I love more than quality family time, whether we're exploring new places or simply taking a stroll whilst they ride their bikes. Writing has also been a source of solace for me over the years, providing a refuge when life becomes challenging. I find great joy in traveling, meeting up with friends, and indulging in the simple pleasures of going out for a meal.
