Hi, I’m Claire Smith. I have been teaching within the Federation for over eighteen happy years. I began my journey as the Key Stage One teacher at Betley and later moved to St Luke’s, where I continue to enjoy teaching in Year One. Over the years, I have served as a staff governor for Betley and taken on a range of leadership roles, including ECT mentor, and subject lead for Maths, PSHE and MFL. I also spent time as Betley’s SENDCO.

I absolutely love teaching the wonderful children across both schools and am committed to helping every child achieve their full potential. Above all, I believe that when children feel happy and safe, meaningful learning naturally follows.

In my spare time, I enjoy singing with my local Rock Choir and have been fortunate to perform in various venues across the area. I am very much looking forward to working with the Governing Body to celebrate the many successes of the Federation.
