Why I am a Governor

As a parent of 2, who has been supported over the years by schools and local communities, I wanted to give something back.

I’m a firm believer in the idea of ‘passing forward’ – and I see this as my opportunity to contribute to one of the most vital pieces of community life.

Schools are one of the hubs of any local community, and the young children passing through deserve the highest quality experience; be that in the curriculum, quality of the teaching, the opportunities provided or the environment itself, and so I hope my contributions help the Betley and St Lukes schools excel in all areas.

My occupation

I am currently employed as a Brand Manager for dedicated health food supplements for a company operating globally, which is a predominantly marketing based role, and have prior experience leading a large team in retail management.

The board has a diverse set of skills in areas from education to policing, so I feel that my experience in a more commercial sector will be valuable.

A bit about me

In my personal life I am married with 2 kids (and a dog!). I have a keen interest in music and like to get to gigs of my favourite bands where possible. I’m also a bit of a nerd, into films, tech and video games. I try and stay fit by regularly attending the gym, the odd bit of football, and swimming with the kids when we get the chance.
